POPULATION: 7,600+
Franklin is a small town in Louisiana nestled just eight miles from the coast of the Cote Blanche Bay. It was the first town founded in St. Mary’s Parish, where it became the Parish seat in 1811, and came to be incorporated 9 years later. Today, it boasts a population of over 7,600 and is a sight to see with historic antebellum architecture and lampposts lining their very unique and budding Main Street.
