The Small Town of Irwinton, Georgia is located 40 Minutes East of Macon where it is the county seat of Wilkinson County and is home to just over 500 people. However, don’t let the numbers fool you because a lot is going on in this small town! You can start your day at Maebob’s Diner where you can enjoy a delicious helping of Banana Pudding. And trust us, you’ll want to try the Banana Pudding! Why? Because Irwinton hosts the State Banana Pudding Festival every year and has won the National Title! And if you’re in need to walk off the best Banana Pudding you’ve ever had, take a visit to the Historic Union Church that is a part of the “right-wing” of the 300-mile driving route of one of the Georgia Civil War Heritage Trail’s March to the Sea (also known as Sherman’s March).
